Hi I’m Jess! – I’m a crafter, cooker/ baker, DIYer, and (most importantly) Dogmomager living in New Jersey!
Since as far back as I can remember I’ve always loved to create things. Yes, like most girls growing up in the 90’s it started with making things in my easy bake oven but I didn’t stop there. I made homemade jewelry, Christmas ornaments and pretty much anything else I could get my hands on.
This love to create has transitioned with me into adulthood but now takes the form of cooking, DIY’s and crafts. I love to cook and bake because it’s one of the most rewarding creative projects and doesn’t require a glue gun (usually). Outside of the kitchen I love to make wreaths, gift baskets, scrapbook, DIY furniture, decorate for holidays, plan theme parties or do anything else where I get to be creative.
I’m a “dogmomager” to my first dog Tux named for the simple reason that he looks like he’s wearing a tuxedo. He’s got his own Instagram, Tuxdini_the_boston_terrier because my hope is that one day he’ll pay the bills, or at least his own bills! His Instagram is really just a place for me to shamelessly post photos of him and the ridiculous or ridiculously cute things he does.
Lastly New Jersey, where I was born and raised! I attended the University of Scranton and then proceeded to give 6 Pennsylvania addresses a try until I decided I loved where I started the most, New Jersey. Yes, I did say 6 PA addresses! Two places in Scranton and then I moved south to the Philly area. In Philly, or as we called it in Scranton, JOP (just outside Philly) I first moved to East Falls, then to Phoenixville, finally to Conshohocken (where I loved it most) and then to West Conshohocken. In all my moving I became really familiar with NEPA (North Eastern PA) and Philly, met some cool people and some shitty ones and got to explore a bunch of places other than my hometown. All in all I wouldn’t trade it for anything but I’m more than happy to be home in New Jersey with all my friends and family!
Thanks for checking out my blog! I hope you enjoy following me on my journey to create things and relish in this wonderful world we live in!
