For those of you who don’t know, my day job is as an affiliate manager. I’ve been in this industry for around 8 years now. I started off working at an affiliate network, transitioned to working at an affiliate agency, and now I’m an affiliate manager for a home decor retailer. I didn’t know what affiliate marketing was until I started working in the industry since it’s so niched. One way that I explain it is that affiliate marketing is another paid channel similar to paid search, SEO, or display. If that still leaves you scratching your head, all you need to know is that I’m very knowledgeable when it comes to finding and getting deals for online shopping.

I’m excited to share this knowledge with you, my friends! My first recommendation is to sign up for Rakuten through my referral link here: rakuten.com/r/JESSOZ4. Yes, this is an affiliate link. At the time I am writing this, if you sign up with the link I will receive a $30 referral bonus and you’ll receive $30 for signing up so long as you make a purchase in 90 days, full details are on Rakuten’s site. Rakuten is a top cashback site that provides its customers with cashback to thousands of online sites. If you plan to do any of your shopping online this season you 100% should do it through Rakuten. Once you create your account go to Rakuten’s site when you want to shop (or install their chrome extension) and click on the brand you want to buy from. Rakuten does all the rest. They will track your purchase on the backend and you’ll get notifications throughout the process. At the end of the quarter, you’ll get your big fat check! Last year because I did most of my holiday shopping online my big fat check was over $70! Happy shopping. 🙂

I’m very excited about this post because I’d like to continue it as a series for saving money shopping online. I’d love to share my recommendations on how to find the best deals on the web, product deals, loyalty programs, and more. Please leave a comment if you have any tips for saving money online or let me know if you would like to learn more about saving money shopping online.
