Happy New Year!! As I’ve done for the past few years, I want to share my goals for this year. Here is a look at my past reflection, 2021 Intentions in Quotes. This year, I want to focus on both quantitative and qualitative goals. Without further delay, here are my goals for this year.
2024 Goals
100 Spin Classes
20 dog lessons
15 books
5 Travel to new places
1 Euro or Asia Trip
Give more gratitude
Spend more time with friends
Spend less time on the phone
My first goal this year is to hit 100 spin classes. That may sound hard but at the rate I’ve been going, I’m confident I will crush it. A little bit of background on how I got to this goal. I was unemployed over the summer. My schedule went from packed to oddly slow. It left me looking for ways to fill my time. I became consistent with going to the gym, reading, and spending time with friends.

At the gym, I found my niche. Spin! I started going 3-4 times a week. After a few weeks, I noticed changes in my body. As I commonly hear, the number on the scale didn’t change much. Where I saw a huge difference was in the way my clothes fit. I loved it. It brought me confidence I didn’t know I was missing. Now if I can’t make a class I find myself missing it. There is something about being in that room. The lights are off. The music is bumping. The playlist is something old-school hip-hop. You’re putting in work. Sweat. Strength. Sometimes you feel like you’re dying but stick it out because it’s worth it! Anyways everyone has their thing. Spin is mine.
If you’re also a spin enthusiast, I highly recommend spin shoes. I got my first pair this year. I notice a positive difference with a cycling shoe. Clipping in allows me to push and pull better than I did with a sneaker. Here are my spin shoe recommendations:
Slipstream Cycling Shoe – White Marble
Slipstream Cycling Shoe- Coral Pink
Pearl Izumi Summit Cycling Shoe (Smoke Grey/Pale Pine)
Shimano RC3 Cycling Shoe (Black) Women’s Shoes
